Pierre use it on Worldsex and al4a too... A reason why these guys keep this counter there is probably because they get a tons of hits from sextracker too.

I agree, good suggestion and it would put a lot of webmasters and paysite owners at ease to know that processors are protecting themselves against spyware and/or taking steps to detect for any join page manipulation.

I remember when the piece of shit named Bama came on THIS board with his spyware shit - as far as I know I was the only one who challenged him. Many of the big boys bought his shit. Nobody said boo. Good luck looking to any credit card processor for leadership or to do the right thing. From Day One of spyware I said the only people who can stop it are the big affiliate programs and the processors. Of course none did shit because it might mean leaving a nickel or two on the floor.

Hi Rockbear. If any webmaster were to look at the stats the actual hits to sextracker and hits from sextracker are about 2 to 1 going out to sextracker. I think it's safe to say nobody in the top 100 does it for surfer traffic. Most do it for SUPPOSED ad prices. However I don't buy that. Anybody who has ever bought on the hun doesn't renew because the hun is number one. They renew because the hun converts. So yes it may help sell some spots but overall I truly believe traffic speaks for itself no matter what ranking the site has.

I think you will see alot of webmasters are going to remain quiet because not only do they use the ST counter but they also host with ST. If i were them I wouldn't come out and bash my host. However I would probably start shopping for a new host. That being said Swiftwill and Jupiter are kick ass hosts. Check them out :winkwink:

why do you guys think we don't use sextracker? If we would probably have a lot more exposure since we would be in the top 10 but we don't like to fuck around with our surfers...

But Shap that's really weird no? They don't accept galleries with spyware on it but they will accept a counter on their main page who will do the same thing. THE reason must be important for them to keep it on their sites. I'm looking about their host and worldsex, thehun, al4a are not with flyincroc. The reasons that I see could be:

1- They get a tons of hits from them.
2- They just want to show that they run big site
3- They get something in return. (Ads deal)
4- Something that we don't know and will never know.

Everytime I run my Ad-Aware I see few shit from sextracker and Honestly it begin to pissed me off seriously. So you can imagine a real surfer.

Not having a third party counter such sextracker on our site, has NEVER hurt advertising sales. I've never used one and probably never will. But we're sold out 2 - 6 months in advanced on all spots without ever fully advertising on the boards, etc. Advertisers know where the traffic is, whether you have a counter or not.

These guys are doing it to show how big they are and because they think it brings in more advertisers. The flip side of the coin is it makes them a huge target.

my take is this.
I've heard rhumors of sextracker doing this - nothing but rhumors - and NEVER on counter load - some time ago. I havn't heard anything about them using it on their counter from ANYONE other than no name trolls. I have a LOT of surfers and friends that watch and surf my site on a regular basis - as do all the other top sites. If a counter did do this my email and icq would go crazy and i would take their counter down. I've never sceen any instance of this, and untill i do as far as i'm concerned it's rhumors created by people who want to take business away from sextracker.

reality is this. If someone cheats on their wife do you stop doign business with them? If someone does illegial drugs do you not trust them?

My thought is I concern myself with my own business - if I CATCH someone using spyware or adware on my site I'll cursify them, but I've never caught sextracker doing that and I won't just take the word of others that can't provide me with ANY PROOF of where this happened. With Proof I'll string the fucker up though.


note - sextracker does use a cookie on thier counter that does show up in many spy removal software packages - this cookie is NOT spyware or adware - it's been used for years and allows one's site to be properly tracked.

Well said.. We have never seen an issue with the counter, cookie, or hosts ran by FCI. I can't speak for the dialer, which is what this spyware issue is about.

Remeber about a year or so ago your site being hijacked?? It was the Sexocean network boys sending your traffic to some video site.. They were somehow using sites with the sextracker counter on em to manipulate your traffic..

Now that wasnt in any way due to the actions of sextracker was it? It was the punks who we assumed to be sexocean right??

I mean there are still some who insist sextracker had something to do with it all along..

That was some wicked shit going on about a year ago with sites with the sextracker counter on em. I even took mine down for about a year and just recently put mine back up..

Ok I remember the situation now..

Someone was spreading spyware.. The technology behind it was it was triggered when a surfer hit a site that had the sextracker counter on it..

It was not the sextracker counter persay doing the action.. It was the adware-exploit that was previously installed via some other site or method.. Then when it was installed, whenever the surfer would hit a site with the tracker on it, it would hijack the surfer taking em to the popups or the dialers..

At the time it was written on that sextracker was just as much a victum of this act as we were..

I still till this day feel that they had nothing to do with this..

But yeah Ive heard stories, and of other unrelated things.. That Bama guy is a smart fucker. If he's programing for Sextracker's counter the sky is the limit.

But truthfully that hijacking issue some years back was just way too blatant and no way would Sextracker involve themselves in that..

The only reason I use it really is for that top 20 ranking placement. I dont really use it to track or give me data.. Its never really been accurate for me.

Its more of just an advertisement showing off how big your dick is really and adding Value to your advertisers..

I dont have advertisers or paid spots so I really dont need the thing..

Im trying to think of why else I use it.. Other than to balance the fact I have a small cock.. Its kinda like the Corvette effect I guess.

the shit that happend had NOTHING to do with sextracker - the sexocean idiots were targeting sites with the the sextracker counter though. I can guarentee you sextracker had NOTHING to do with it. I'm 100% confident there about that.

reality is - MOST major companies have touched adware. Most major companies have done lots of things that today would be questionable. The real question is do they do it today - i don't believe sextracker would ever touch their counter or hosting with adware and stand behind them on that cause I believe in them and continue to use them for counter and hosting.

Gamacash not only pushes it to it's affils but owns the company that writes it
and it's been on the boards for a year and people still get it.
At least they took it off their main affil signup page when they were exposed.
