Yes, we shouldn't read GFY anymore, we should all go looking for smaller boards because there are some private boards around with only a 100 to 200 members that like it that way and will never grow to be a GFY, but blow the main big boards away because of who belongs to these.

You created a webmaster board with a name that is a 100% rip-off of GFY and now you're here making a thread for the purpose of making GFY look bad because it has too many posts.

You're stretching way toooooo far on this one Brisky. You should see the e-mails I got where people are fed up with the idiotic posting going on here now. This place needs pruning to remove the weeds. I got tired of waiting and did my own thing.

I don't blame you for starting your own board. It's no secret that GFY is full of stupid post and stupid threads.

But here's where you went wrong:

1. The name you chose for your board is a complete rip-off of GFY.

2. You're on GFY making threads that try to make GFY look bad and your board look good.

People respect you for the quality of your posts, but it looks like you're slipping. I expected more from you. I'm dissapointed. I thought you would have held yourself to a higher standard.

It's up to about 7 k a day now actually and when I get on I tend to just scan for a subject that I am interested in wether it be for a niche I am working on at the moment or a design contest

I don't try to read everything.

I open the forum, scroll the subject lines and "open in new window" any posts that catch my interest. If/when I make it to the bottom of the page (or have been away from the forum page more than half an hour or so), I'll refresh. I do that a number of times throughout the day and that lets me catch the most active threads, and everything else is pot luck. As was mentioned earlier, you have to work on developing quick "filtering on the fly" skills. Often times you pretty much already know how a thread is going to play out just from the subject line.

That's a great idea. You'd have to have a rating button though on each thread to genrate the scores.
