I love SEO!

Whoever said that linking on the engines is done for, and pointless hasn't a clue what's going on. I'm so excited about this that I need to post it somewhere!!

I just finished a contract with a blue chip client that started off with an empty "redirect only" site, helped them develop it (seo wise), and turned it from a no rankings anywhere PR2 site to an ODP listed PR8 with thousands of top 10 rankings and backlinks, all in under 7 months!! Alright, granted they are a Fortune 1000 company and have a pretty large budget to back them up, especially in the linking game, but it's still very much possible to dominate your niche or industry if you put the work into it.

My advice to anyone reading this.. take your hard earned dollars, start a PPC campaign with GA or OV, or even SF, and slowly build up your natural seo campaign. If you keep to it, and get yourself only 2 new recips everyday for seven months (two updates or so for PR) you are bound to start dominating. Then as your rankings and traffic increase, lower your PPC campaigns, or only target the keyword themes you know you can't hit.

If I could do this for mortgages then you can do it for adult!

Mainstream blue chip client's domain on an adult board just to prove something to someone? Whatever you're smoking hand it over here my friend. I've already revealed too much about them, so you can believe me, or not, makes no difference to me.

Yep! Jan 31st MSN's engine climbed outta beta and became a unique engine.

At the same time, good 'ol Google became ICANN registered, which I thought was strange, but they are always stealing the limelight away from MSN.

I went to one a long long time ago (like 2 years ago) and it wasn't my type of conference really. Seminars were nothing more than ok, nothing worth the money really and for the most part I didn't know anyone back then so I didn't really go back.

I have a lot of faith in MSN delivering very relevant results for far longer than Google. But, that can always change once their algo is researched in pieces after a few months of trial and error. So far the methods I've gathered about MSN are similar to Google, which disappoints me a bit, but word has it that they are going to make a major algo update within the next month or two, so hopefully it will all change for the better. (MSN that is, not Google)

Buying shitloads of incoming links with your client's money is not SEO.

Never said it was. Just said that their budget helped them out in terms of linking.

MSN has a long way to go until they'll be able to compete with Google, but I'm rather sure that they will go it. Hopefully something good comes out of this battle

Well I don't think it will take them nearly as long as it took Google to make a splash. Google has name branding, and MSN has default msn.com start pages on their systems. We shall see!
