It's really not important what you do for a living in the physical world What's more important is what you do to bring more good into the world. If you make your income in adult and use that income to do good for people (such as helping make life easier for someone in need) you've brought light into the world. God neither punishes nor rewards. God is a power that any can tap into (not a physical being). Thinking that God punishes people or rewards people is like saying that someone who sticks their fingers in a light socket is punished by electricity, while someone who plugs in a lamp into the light socket and turns it on is blessed by the electricity. By the way, I base this on a lot of research. I was raised as a Pastor's son in an Assembly of God church. In the last 6 months I've been heavily researching what I've been taught all my life. So many translations of the Bible in particular are very inaccurate. It's interesting to see what some scriptures are supposed to mean vs. what Christianity teaches. For the Bible in particular, don't you find it odd that Gentiles are telling Jews what their prophecies mean? These are people (Christians - Gentiles) who are reading a translation from a translation.
