Pretty close to the truth Rowan. In Jan of last year all this ccbill stuff hit the fan. Im not going to go into some dialog about ccbill... they are a great company. However, even over the last month there have been issues of sponsors that use ccbill suddenly showing zero or one rebill (some of which you have pointed out yourself recently) Its to do with how groupings are set up. Same issue as I had last year and how it was explained to my by ccbill. However, by the time it was figured out the court of gfy had already crowned me a shaver and it was a done deal. Me trying to explain anything at that point was usless in here. It was easier to take the fall then to try to explain all of it at that point. I admited to something I didnt do and moved on... trying to save the program.
My sales went from 21k the month before that hit (Dec of 2003) to 14k in Jan, 7k in Feb and 4k in March when I sold. I was juggling everything just to stay open and try to pay the bills. We went from nearly 200k in 2003 to less then half that this year. Now, over the last three months its grown pretty fast, due to the release of four new sites and all the positive things going on. However, those early months were aweful and i indeed was scraping the bottom of the barrel. One thing I can say is that I did pay everything back to the best of my abilty and no one paid my bills for me or bailed me out in any fashion. Not one bil was paid on my behalf by anyone. I have recently took a stand on a debt that I feel I do not owe and his only purpose in trying to collect now was a for of blackmail which I have all the documentation to persue if I felt the need... and I dont. Not my style.
As for the models.... dude. Please, one day open a program and shoot solo site girls. Take them to a few shows also... let them mingle with all the very honest and business like webmasters who of course... only have your interest in mind. We all know that a webmaster would never try to steal away or bad mouth another program to a model. It never happens... ever. ;) Models never, ever tell people that they arnt getting paid and to please feel sorry for me. hahaha! Please no go back and look at every model that made claims like that... all of them were going to open there own sites or program... some webmaster was going to fund them and save them from the evil program they were with. haha All of them are gone... all of them. The couple models that are trying it now will not be here in 90 days. Once they see the work and the time it takes, they will be off shooting hardcore for 500 a day, three days a week wishing they were back in their old program working 5 hours a month. Watch a see.
Designers... I paid everyone of them. Some not as fast as I would have liked, but they were paid never the less.
I gave it 150%... it failed. Some my fault and some due to things I could not control.
The sites convert and they sell very, very well. That I know how to make happen. Im not just good... im great at it. I also figured out that you should never, ever do revshare with a model.. its doomed to fail 99 times out of 100. People gave me all kinds of shit for paying the girls by the hour and getting as much content as I could.. upfront. Now, some very visable programs are in total agreement and changing the way they pay they talant.
I work with a great group of people every day. People I traded traffic with and my affiliates know they we paid and know that I went way out of my way for them. Have not seen anyone of my affiliate or trading partners say one bad thing about me in this or any other thread.
Anyways, im off to enjoy the weekend and prolly wont ever come back.
