What do you do when you lose your XP CD?
my friend lost his xp cd, but he has the product key on the side of his computer still. its a sony vaio. can i burn my xp cd and give it to him or will that now work? if not what does he have to do?

you could burn him a copy of the cd as long as he uses his key still... that's the legal way of going about it... technically he should contact microsoft and request replacement cd's, which should be pretty cheap, as long as he mentions he has the product key still...
