He doesn't know. He only knows which one lies and which one doesn't.

No,, he doesnt know who is who,, he only knows one lies and one doesnt,,, but there are identical so he cant tell who is who.

I meant by name, not by looks. He doesn't know which is which, but he does know which one lies (i.e. Sarah) and which one tells the truth (i.e. Emily).

well, it sounds alot like the guard riddle, which we've all heard....I got stuck on the 'three word' limitation, and I passed right over the fact that we knew who was the liar and truth-teller...
