Godaddy users, has this happend to you?

I regged a domain about a week ago and I get a call about 30 minutes ago asking me about some domain I registered. They asked me if I needed hosting and if I needed webdesign. How would they have this info? Possibly Godaddy sold my info? Im confused but, I don't really care.

All .com registration info is public, and can be retrieved through "whois" lookups. If you want to conceal your identity, there are several "proxy" services (GoDaddy offers one) available, usually for an additional fee. I doubt very much that GoDaddy would have sold your info.

I just registered a domain 2 mins ago and there was none of the usual bullshit you have to look through before you register a domain. They must have had another 1000 customers like me complain about it.
