I very seldom go to a bar...and in fact have not been to a bar in a couple of years. I have never been big on bars and in fact did not drink when I was in college...prior to the Army...and did not drink when I was in the Army...outside of an occasional beer. I began to drink after my injuries substained during the 1st Gulf War...in an effort to take my mind off of pain and to avoid becoming addicted to pain pills...as my condition will worsen and there will be time for that at a later point. I do not like or associate with drunks. I do not use a wheelchair and I have both legs...thank you very much. I seldom drink whiskey (I have a double Bloody Mary almost every morning mixed with V8 and usually have some kind of vegetable with it...such as a celery stalk...asparagus stick...green olives...etc). I have not smoked for many years. Your psychic powers have failed you but feel free to try again.

I don't know if I should feel sorry for you or angry. I suppose BOTH are appropriate in your case.

The USA if the most wealthy country...by a large margin. China will not reach the current wealth or military power of the US in 10-15 years...let alone surpass us. At some point in time it may or a united Europe may but it will not be in my life time or yours.

Thats just bullshit.

The US has the power to take what they want ... the Arabs shouldn't have any oil, because the US should have taken it ages ago. Thats how the world works, and its the moralistic fucktards you guys have there in the US who will be the reason for your early downfall. Why the hell you control the oil and then give it right back to people who hate your guts and wish every American was dead I will never know.

Exactly...I am one of the majority...but I did not vote for the President this time or the first time. I am not a fan of the President...but he is no different than any other President in my life time. I have had my disagreements with all of their policies.

I dont know where u get this 'wealthy' shit from

I could borrow a couple of million from the bank, but would I be rich?

What the US is doing is not sustainable.... It will all have to be paid back one day, and what are you going to use, your oil?

Sorry I meant Iraq's oil......

You are correct, but they won't over extend. They won't need to. All they have to do is keep expanding the way they are now. They already have the military.

Wealthy in resources, and yes there is oil here still and natural gas, plenty arable land to feed the whole world, minerals, metals, etc...

I fully believe that China's economy will equal that of America's and the European Union in 15 years, and even less time if America's current financial situation continues or gets worse. :(

The US can pay off its entire National Debt in any four year period if it chooses to. The foreign debt that it carries is miniscule compared to the overall National Debt. In addition debt is meaningless as long as the GNP grows at a faster rate than debt. To KISS if you are carrying debt and your income increases you can carry addtional debt if you choose to. The GNP continues to outgrow debt thus the US can safely carry more debt.

What makes you think that the current financial situation is a problem. The world still envies the GNP growth of the US.

DWB 01-27-2005 03:21 AM

Luxembourg is #1 for wealth. USA is #2. (GDP)

GNP?

nico-t 01-27-2005 03:23 AM

it amazes me how stubborn bush supporters are... No matter how many things is wrong about the leadership of bush, no matter how long he is fucking his people up the ass, no matter how much it all costs you, you still walk behind his ass getting annoyed by people without blindfolds telling you straight how it is: bush is one of the biggest mistakes in american history.
Please wake up, i just cant believe anyone that crazy to really stand behind bush... Very weird.

I'm concerned that rising debt will lead to higher interest rates sending the US economy into the shitter.

I am satisfied that interests rates will rise...and lower as has always been the case and the economy has never gone in the "shitter" since 1929. The economy flucuates to some extent but I do not think there has ever been a no growth period since the depression...an maybe not even then.

IMO, per capita GDP isn't a very accurate way of determing the average wealth of a country's citizens.

Wealth isn't distributed evenly, and in the case of America, wealth is very unbalanced.

There is no point even debating with guy who has "The good old USA!!!" listed for his location. That sums it all up. And that's the grand thing about freedom... is that we are all entitled to our own opinion as long as it does not get in the way of what our leaders think is best for us.

There has never been a time in US history with economic conditions such as they are now.

With the amount of debt that exists now, it's not enough to simply have economic growth, there needs to be consistent and significan't economic growth to manage the growing debt burden. Higher interest rates will slow economic growth, and for right now, interest rates are only going one way...up. :(

wealth is not distributed evenly, and in some countries it is much less even than others
