and sleazy, we could easily make the site easy to update by placing the latest ones in a table and iframing a second page which you could update, that way the main remains the same :) and the list could scroll on for days and days

would have suggested that to you also.... the best way to keep the site together....an iframe... no matter which design you use.... maybe seperated later by months or something else....

notes:

-The requirements were for 100% html but the images there are very very light.

-Sponsor banners and buttons will add the missing touches of color, also helps make them stand out.

-If selected i'll take a banner spot instead of cash, the money should go to charity.

Sweetheart, i just needed a bit of feedback as to what would you like to make it better for your particular taste, not photoshop lessons, it is in fact a very common practice which would have been in the end benefical for you and nobody else.

Sometimes, in other threads, your 'asshole board persona' replies fit, but i don't think this is the case.

Scott, I think you have so much more design sense than you're giving yourself credit for. There's a lot to be said for Spartan & Functional (info architecture-wise) -- especially when we're talking about text and idea-referencing, as would certainly be the case with a site dedicated to offering up the words and thoughts of our industry's best minds.

Good work Fletch, but IMO you could beef it up alittle more.
Maybe a border, and a few changes to the header to make it sit better on the top. IMO the header takes away eye focus from the actual page itself. (it looks like it was designed more for a surfer site)

everything can be done via CSS+Html, only images would be the Logo and the banners (and prolly the lil purple bars..).
Titles and stuff can look like that via css :D

I like this one a lot! Only problem I see is if the name of the person ambushed is longer than "JFK" (which almost all of them will be) it's not going to fit right. Very easy fix though, good work man.

I don't need the money. I was looking at the entries and thought something like the below would be better for a logo. I grabbed the cartoon guy from google image search so you'd need someone else to draw one for you, if you went with this idea.

I think a cartoon guy shooting a machine gun with ? coming out of it would be a good idea for the logo. Good luck with the site, I think it's a good idea to archive them.
