This type have Mag has been out for years in Japan, with HUGE success! Every time I go there I bring back at least 20 of them!

I could not figure out why this was never done here.

Do many people still buy/subscribe to adult oriented mags instead of just using the internet where their is more privacy and less 'evidence' of being a 'perv'?

I'm just curious as to the type of audience that reads such magazines. Are they usually internet porn surfers also and will check out sites that they see in the magazine or do they stick with magazines?

The idea looks promising.

Well lots of adult stores are still thriving, the newstands are thriving with adult readers and buyers of mags...

so offline perusing of adult content will never go out of business totally that is why it's time to capitalize on it for adult websites too.

coming from a marketing background for both b2b and b2c, I can confidentially say that this is an excellent concept to promote online adult and why I chose to help it.

Not everyone like jacking off inf ront of a computer. Where's the privacy whacking off on a compute other people may use and walk in on you? A mag hides easily and you can whack off in bed or in the bath room.

yah, it CAN work... but its expensive as fuck and takes a while. mostly its branding... 100 people a day may see your ad, but not visit your site right away... but then when theyre sitting at the computer late one nite trying to find something to spank to, they remember your site and type it in....

its very hard to measure i think, but it does work.

Basically having your login password protected, nobody else will know what you've viewed on your computer (unless the people you're with are computer savvy....but that's not the typical surfer). Therefore there is no evidence.

With a magazine, you have a tangible object. If you're whacking off in bed you need that mag there or in the bath room or you have to carry the mag from one place to another and/or hide it.

Also, if they're going to walk in on you using your computer can't they do the same when you're using your mag?

It seems there is still a huge market for mags, maybe a demographic that doesn't have or like computers, so I think it's an option worth investigating.

Any details on the distribution?

Having some experience in this arena I am curious if the 100,000 number is the goal for paid newstand sales or are you talking about distributing the title free---like on the counter of adult book stores (I notice that magazine has a cover price of $8.00 so I am confused as to your distribution).

Getting 100,000 copies sold is difficult to believe for issue one right out of the gates.

there is a guaranteed number of copies that will be on the news stands and that is 100,000. I think everyone involved from designers to distributors are working towards selling all of them over the 3 month period as it's a quarterly publlication
