50 Racists? :helpme

Well I really don't avoid going to the mall - I hardly ever go, and when I need to go, I go regardless - however it is an annoyance when those "teenagers" are there.

If we're speaking on behalf of personal experience alone - I have experienced more bullshit from black teens than from white teens - a lot more, actually. I guess that fact in and of itself, could be a cause of some underlying racial issue - but logically on the top of my mind I know that type of behavior isn't totally based on skin color.

The worse type of white kids that I've encountered are the ones that try to emulate the black kids. Kind of interesting.

Maybe you experience more shit from black teens because that is what you are expecting.

Those white kids may not be trying to emulate the black kids. If they come from the same socioeconimc background that is a part of who they are. Some how no money and no hope of opportunity equal an I don't give a fuck attitude.

There is a large segment of our society that falls under the radar. White and black their parents aren't shit, and they don't see anyway out. All they have is a false sense of bravado.

I see the same behavior in both white and black teenagers. They all pretty much make me sick.

My grandparents learned in the same classroom from 1st grade through 8th. My dad went to elementary school with 95 total students.

One word, actually two: discipline and respect. They go hand and hand. Teachers and schools need the ability to discipline their unruly students instead of pumping them full of Vitamin R.

I was hanging out in Paterson, NJ a few months ago with a bunch of spanish people and one black guy. Of course I'm instantly labelled "white boy". Does it bother me? No. Later at this woman's house I was talking to my friend about something that transpired earlier in the evening. I mention "the black guy" since he was the only one and I never caught his name.

My friend flipped out on me, tried to shush me. I had no clue wtf she was talking about till she said "they're black!" referring to the house owner in a whisper. I just told her "I'm sure they know they are black. How else would you have me refer to the only black guy there earlier? I never got his name."

Am I just whacked out? Is it really a bad thing to call a black guy black or what?

That's an interesting point. If you are offended by mere acknowledgements of a trait that is part of you, then aren't you really admitting that you think of the trait being acknowledged as a negative one?

Read the title of the thread...he wasn't disturbed by them being teenagers or whatever, he specifically stated he was disturbed cause they where black...

You are lying. He was disturbed because of their attitudes and behaviour, and of course correctly labelled them as black, because they were black, and teenagers, because they were teenagers. These were major traits he saw that most or all of them shared, and that therefore served as tools for identifying these people who he wanted to write about but that he didn't know the names of.

People like you who advocate omission of truth for the cause of your frail political views really repulse me.
