But being impartial, a rock show would probably be more exciting to most audiences. Live musicians playing guitar, bass, and drums is more novel and fun than a guy with a mic rapping as I don't think many rappers use live bands when they perform

The best concert (show-wise) I've ever seen live though (and I've seen a TON) was probably Third Eye Blind.
Another one that I remember was in the Montreal Molson Centre, where the asshole security were taking up half the floor space to make sure no one goes on without a floor ticket (of which they sell 25% of the floorspace).
Fred Durst came out and said that they wouldn't play (limp bizkit) unless security let everyone who wanted to be on the floor, on the floor. He suggested the move out fo the way as literally thousands of people in the arena flooded the floor.
