Diesel Jeans..good price?

I had heard that Diesel jeans were somewhat expensive, but I was on Ebay and picked up two pair of them from the same seller.

They arrived today, and they are brand new. The price tags were attached and they each said $139.99..for real? That's what they sell for retail?

I got both pair for $40 plus shipping.

well ... 139 retail is pretty cheap for Retail

Retail goes for 179$-200$ IN stores
on ebay and the price you paid you most likely got fakes.. they look pretty authentic .. but are fake.... real ones online for for 80-100$ on ebay

A couple ways to spot a fake is this... look at the Coin pocket where it says

Diesel Industries...

if there is a ® it is 99perc Real
there is also another way to spot a fake... but first tell me that

Nope..doesn't say that there. but if they are fakes..man, they went out of their way to make them look real..all the inside tags on the waist say "Made in Italy" (3 inside tags), lot numbers etc. with an embroidered seal on the backside that says "Diesel Industry" etc. Oh well..they still are good jeans even if they are fake.

IGNORE what I said before..I wasn't looking carefully..there IS an R on the coin pocket.

So this makes them authentic?

Exactly none the less they are really good fakes trust me ive bought a few off ebay and found out this way as well... even these fakes fit better then 90perc Real jeans out there (express, gap, levis etc)

The only real way i guess to find if its real is look at the inside tag
where it says MADE IN ITALY there is a Silver embrodidery... if theres a hologram in there and u can read D I E S E L D I E S E L D I E S E L on the silver part i think its real

If you get the jeans and can't tell they are fake, who cares?
I've bought heaps of diesel stuff from ebay and very little is obviously fake.

Except a shirt I ahve that says "Ultra violent protection" .. instead of ultra violet...haha

almost 90% of the diesel jeans on ebay are fake. If you want the real thing, you gotta pay for it. Most of them are made in Turkey or Thailand - you can tell which from the feel of the denim.

A GUIDE ON HOW TO SPOT FAKE DIESEL JEANS & HOW TO AVOID BUYING THEM

1. Be wary of sellers that use catalogue pictures & no photos of the actual jeans or use photos that only show a small section of the jeans.

2. Seller warns of size discrepancy, advises you should order size above what you would normally wear (they are FAKE, COUNTERFEITERS have got the sizing wrong).

3. Don't be fooled by close-up photos of labels, badges, buttons or studs - I have seen many FAKE Diesel jeans and the studs, Buttons, etc are very good, in fact on some you cannot tell the difference! But the styling and quality of the jean is very poor!!

4. Diesel jeans NEVER come in poly bags ? go to your local Diesel store and check for yourself.

5. Don't be fooled by statements such as "No two pairs of Diesel jeans are the same THIS IS NOT TRUE - go to your local Diesel store and look at a pile of same model and wash jeans and you will see that they are practically identical, by saying "No two pairs of Diesel jeans are the same?? that gives the FAKE sellers a "get-out" for when they send you something different than that in the auction photo.

6. Get them checked at a store, be sure to talk to a denim specialist or someone with experience. I have heard of people showing obviously fake jeans to an assistant and them not spotting that they were actually FAKES.

7. Look at the size label look very closely at the thin silver strip underneath the Indians head (it's called micro-stitching), you should see D I E S E L written on this silver strip.

8. On a REAL size label you should be able to see some numbers above the Indians head in the form of 77 55 88 these numbers are very, very faint and are in the weave of the fabric.

9. The REAL size label, has raised embroidery and the stitching on the edges of the real label is very different from the edges of the FAKE labels.

10. Fabric weave, on the REAL size label, look below the micro-stitching, the weave there is different from the weave above the micro-stitching.
