The RedText Competition #2

HOORAY - it's time for this week's RedText.com/GFY competition.

The prize, as usual, is 2,500 free RedText ads. I understand that last week's winner has done so well out of these ads that he's bought substantial islands off the West Coast of Scotland and a large fleet of aircraft to take him there (erm...back me up on this one, Rocky...)

All you have to do is answer the following question:

Question: How many adult webmasters does it take to change a lightbulb?

Answer:...?

Most imaginative answers (as decided by our distinguished panel of judges) gets the free ads. Competition closes around lunchtime on Wednesday.

GOOD LUCK!

let see...

3 to complain while the old lightbulb is working that it's too dim, and should be replaced before disaster.

5 to complain that the lightbulb is too bright, and replacing it would just be another useless hack.

17 to spam the board when it finally dies out.

5 of the above will make false claims of actually predicting the lightbulb's failure.

1 to implement a new lightbulb but that only shines 50% as bright as the old one, and only on Japan, west USA and norther Canada dues to latency issues.

4 to rant about that fact that lightbulbs are inefficient, and we should change everything to florencent lighting, even though the current power supply doesn't permit such devices.

25 to chant "The GFY lightbulb is dead! They got hacked! Filthy GFY´s!".

11 to declare that the /bin directory deliberatly executed the plne program that conficted with the lightbulb code, which caused it to drop core*.

1 newbie to actually propose a working light, but everyone just ignores him 'cause they're too busy flaming.

3 to open and close registration 52 times in a 5 hour period, to "protect the board from llamas."

14 to spend all day in GFY reminising about how good the old bulb was, and why we should all try to go back to how the old bulb was.

20 to declare that GFY can go just fine without a lightbulb, and even if there was one, it would just get into it's way.

3 to finally get the new bulb working, but no one knows how to use the new bulb, so they just spend their time bitching in GFY.

SIX: Two to debate the merits of 40 Watt vs. 70 Watt bulbs, One to mediate the dispute, One to cite meaningful portions of the Litany (Does "The Veil shall not be lifted" include lampshades?), One to keep the webmasters from throating each other as they bump around in the dark while waiting for the bulb to be changed, and One to screw in the light bulb.

ELEVEN: One to send a complete character conception (including stats, name, and password) to www.gofuckyourself.com instead of www.howthefuck.com.
Two to log into the gfy simultaneously and whine about how confusing it is.
One to stand in the Lounge and bitch because only the friends of Lens are allowed to play
Three to spam about their Official credentials, and how we're not doing things The Right Way.
One to log in, display poor typing and cognitive skills, log out, then log in and complain about how "their friend" was so abused by us big bad newbie-eating webmasters, all in the exact same typing and (lack of) thinking style.
One to ask indignantly if we think we're trying to write a novel here or what. One to log in every day and ask when his/her t-shirt is going to get sent.
And, finally, one to log in, ask intelligent questions, send a well-written concept to gfy, and FINALLY go and change the damned light bulb

It takes one to screw it in and everyone else to say they can do it better.

21!

10 webmasters hold up the chair upon while 1 webmaster stands (holding the lightbulb) and turn the chair counterclockwise to unscrew the lightbulbs. The other 10 stand in a circle around the chair spinning also counterclockwise so that the webmaster holding the lightbuld won't get dizzy.

=)
