Serious question, Do you guys use sponsors and AVS/AEN's...

with Credibility, or whoever pays the best and converts the best.
Do you check to see if they have been around for a long time and have had no bounced checks, make sure they pay on time and all that good stuff.

Or is it, Pay me the most money who cares who you are?

I know there has to be someone here at this hour that is actually interested in Business. Or is this the time of the morning we only deal with millionaires.

I do both, promote long term partnership type things with some traffic (for the bread and butter) and then the flavour of the month with other traffic... but every link code everywhere is dynamic so I can switch it instantly at the first sign of any funny business.

I've always mixed things up. Even with my own little program to promote, I'm still doing what I can to keep up with sending traffic elsewhere.

        Spend you some brain.

I found being my own sponsor was best. I don't send hits/sales to anyone except me.

When I first started with AVS back in 96 I built up enough equity to build my own. I then used that. I am about to start a paysite network since avs is just too much trouble as I am sure you're aware

So many bad sites, fraudulent webmasters. I finally disallowed anyone to signup unless they were invited, or known by someone who was.

          Don't reply. Let it die.

The fraud stuff was really bad back in 2000 - 2002. We don't see much of it at all. We filter out bad webmasters and did what you did with the invite system.

That is cool that you keep it in your own program. You have been doing this as long as I have. Congrats.

                Hey Dave,

I know what an AVS is, but what is an AEN?

                Seriously?

AEN is another name for avs essentially. AEN formed after Visa disallowed Cards as a mean of age verification.

It's basically a network of paysites that are all accessed with one id, just like an AVS.

EDIT: it stands for Adult Entertainment Network

if you got a freesite mgp or tgp you can use my freehostedmovieseries to promote my AVS , it converts great and you dont have to host something yourself except the codes to get it on your site ... you get 10$ per sale and rebills

when promoting a sponsor, you have to consider everything..from free content to converstion and from webmaster support to high payouts.

I actually started out on AVS as well. I went for the biggest payout companies that converted like shit and some even went belly up. I found my best pay came from a few AVS companies that rebilled consistantly and stayed open LOL. Cyber Age was one of them.

Thanks Dave, you have indirectly bought drinks for many many hot women over the past 5 years.

I've used ProAdult as my main AVS for just about 4 years now. Excellent rebills, though the conversions seem to be less than my paysites. The AVS model still seems to add up to more money for less hassle though.

I always research on some bigger boards and google about a new sponsor before I signup, that just takes a few minutes but saves you a lot of trouble.

I do a little research on the sponsor first, then check out their sites or get a pass if its an AEN/AVS. If a sponsor doesnt have a history, or doesn't come up in good at all, best bet is to stay away.

Of course it is reasonable to make a kind of investigation before starting to work with a new sponsor to get rid of troubles in future.
As I had with cyberage a couple of years ago when my account was blocked and I did not get any detailed explanation of this step and lost the money which was earned.

Whoever converts the best initially, then whoever sends the check. Between the Free AVS's I use I dont use the one that pays the most. I've opted for the AVS that converts the best.

Just curious since many replies in this thread sounds like you have before in the past but dont anymore? Am i wrong? Just interesting to see who still does promote AVS sites?
