Bush's USA can't even successfully occupy a country like Iraq let alone they can do that with a much better equipped Iran.

The UN runs a nuclear inspection team. All countries, including Russia and China, must abide by this. They must.

It's rather simple - even though the nuclear plants are for peaceful purposes, when they blow up they affect other countries. Thus, the other countries must have a right to inspect them.

If something was blow up in Iran, it would affect over 100,000 US troops stationed in Iran.

Why doesn't Iran just open up their doors and say "come take a look"?

I won't even try to say that muslim fundementalist are good people because they are not. But the christian fundementalists, while they do some good, also do a lot of harm to the world. Do they help many countries that need food? Sure, but they do it in exchange for preaching to these people. If you want the food, you have to at least listen to them preach. Christians and the Vatician have so heavily hammered on many african nations that many of them belive that using condoms is a sin and they will go to hell. But they still are humans and human nature is to have sex. But they do so without a condom because of what they have been tought and this is one of the main reasons that AIDS is such an epidemic in many african countries.

They do some good, yes, but there is always a price to pay with them.

It is ironic that he was ever re-elected when you consider what the net results of the first term were - a total disaster, with the odd rare exceptions.

This is a guy who took a nation into a war on a totally false basis. The list is far too long, but includes the responsiblity for deaths of many thousands, a total disregard for any economic issues and also a load of fairly serious domestic issues that *may* just start to be addressed in his second term - tho I doubt it. Only my 2 cents worth - but I doubt he is capable.

Overall, I suspect Bush's second term to end with the US being in even a worse condition than now - although he may have started this term on a more subdued/conciliatory tone, - but doubt that will last.

It amazes me to hear Bush talk of "our aim is to give all people of the world freedom and democracy..." blah. WTF is he talking about?? :-) Don't he know that the majority on the planet actually do have freedoms - often far more than offered to US Citizens.

On the above... (I can't talk specifics cos it's not my biz and ain't at liberty to say), but I alone know of two people in the US today who most would say have "served their country well". Despite that they are currently being pissed on from a great height and no doubts whatsoever this conduct by Federal govt is clearly not within any standards of human decency or within any human rights guidelines. If that is the way the US govt treats it's "own", who did nothing but good for them, no other person has a chance. The word "freedom" and "values" are a mockery when used by the current Admin.
