format c:
![]() You gotta use regedit and search for the entry of the default startup page. Then delete it. I think you need to delete others entries as well, not sure which ones though. |

I had the same thing happen to me last week! Motherfuckers. I ended up reformatting the drive because even after I fixed the problem (so I thought) my computer was still all fucked up.

Now that's just plain shitty. Not even a good page to have stuck as your start page.

Marcus, try this
In regedit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte rnet Explorer\Restrictions registry key ... delete the "NoBrowserOptions" value. I hope this works for you ![]() |

This is what I did when it happened to me,
I hope it works for you, Aussie Rebel 1. Start regedit (Start > Run > Regedit.exe) 2. Go to the following section in your register: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run 3. Find the following string there and delete it: C:\windows\regedit.exe /s C:\windows\system32\radB42B9.tmp radB42B9.tmp can be any file that shouldn't be there, it may also be located at any other directory. This section in your register HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run serves as Autostart group, so you may remove everything unnecessary from there. You may also try to find any other references in your register to the file you found in the section CurrentVersion\Run (eg. radB42B9.tmp) and delete them. 4. Change your default home page (Tools> Internet Options> Home page) to the one you desire and ENJOY! 5. If you don't want this to happen again, change your security options in Internet Explorer to promt whether to run or download any ActiveX controls and always answer NO if you are unsure. |
