Domain problems

Hi! I have got my self a domain (babe-fever.com), its my first so Im a real newbie when it comes to domains. Ive got it at registerfly.com. What I wonder is what my host needs to do to make my domain work(Im hosted with my ISP for the moment). I know there is something about those DNS. But if I have got them from my host do they (host) need to do something else to make it work or can (in this case)registerfly.com do the rest?

Please someone explain in a easy way how this shit with domains work, thanx!

I assume you will be using your host's nameservers. In that case, you need to enter these nameservers into your account at Registerfly. You then need to ask your host to add the domain babe-fever.com to your account. Give it a day or so for the DNS to propagate and then you'll be all set.

Get yerself a box, good clean copy of Apache, a nice fat network pipe, good strong firewall, some handy software, a truckload of Coke and beer, set it all up, and you'll be hosting it yourself in no time. Oh and point your nameservers to your new box b4 you do that so that by the time your ready to flip the switch, it'll already be propagated.

Thanx, Rhizome. Is there any possibility to not use my hosts nameservers?

Use DNS forwarding service or set up your own nameserver.

How does DNS forwarding work? Is that kind of the same as the come.to-domains use?
