Photographer Question?

Can someone please tell me the differance between "FORMAT" and "ERASE ALL" is on a camera. Seems to do the exact same thing, don't you agree? Or does it do something a little different when you "FORMAT"??? Particularly with the Canon EOS 20D.

If you change your memory card from lets say canon camera and put it into nikon camera you have to format memory card in order to fit nikon settings.
So by formating you change settings on the card to suit your camera, and generaly is the same thing.
Something like that.

Aye sounds about right. I'd assume Erase All might be faster...but that's just a guess.

there is a bit more to the story......

Erase All will allow you to start shooting pics again with the number you left off at.

Format will start you back at 0

Someone correct me if I am wrong as it has been a while since I tryed it.

Cheers,
BV
