Who lives in the northwest US?

Is the ice storm bad where you are? I'm watching this shit on CNN - that's crazy! Cars and buses sliding down the streets at like two miles per hour..

I'm in Portland. It's bad on the East side. I live on the west side and I was driving no problems yesterday.

Keep in mind Portland is one of those cities that comes to a standstill when a thin layer of snow or ice hits the ground. I've lived here all my life and have seen some really bad ice and freezing rain storms, but this isn't one of them.

What freaked me out is that it looked like wet streets, at least seeing it on TV - it didn't look like ice - just wet.

I grew up in Iowa so I'm no stranger to ice storms. I just haven't had to deal with them for 22 years :-)

Ack.. thats the worst. I remember getting my shins all torn up from the ice breaking as you walk over it.. the edges just scrape the skin right off your legs - even through jeans..

I am in South Eastern Washington and we have a few inches of snow... it's probably warmed up a lot on most of the east side today, as it will here in a day or two...

I snowed here for about 6 hours last night, then started to drizzle. I thought, "Great, the snow will be gone by morning." Well, the snow is still there and I'm scared to see what the roads are like. Guess I'm not going to the mall today...
