KaZaA, any good ideas about it?

I finally downloaded a copy of KaZaA, got rid of the scumware and used a patch to remove the banner, what did I got? a license to full length movies (porn and regular) pirated software, mp3's etc...

Now, as a surfer/freeloader, I love the thing, with the patch and scumware removers, I got the perfect tool to anything I want, I just have to run a wire to my TV set from my vid card and I can see DVD movies and anything I want...

but as a webmaster, I see the potential and actual harm this shit is doing to us... including the scumware, but, more important than that, the free porn I can get (a 1 hour flick of Jenna downloading now, for evaluation purposes)...

now, How do we stop this? US regulations or even international copyright laws might be useless against these guys, since they cannot be held liable like napster (they don't use their servers in the same manner, don't have a way to control p2p transactions)

    any ideas?

We, webmasters can't stop that kind file share networks. But I don't think its a big problem for porn Industry. Because no body shares, everyone wants to leech!

so morpheus/kazaa always empty, while there is 100.000s of users!

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the company that runs Kazaa (as well as Morpheus and a couple of others) has been sued by both the RIAA and the MPAA ...

They probably won't be around for much longer ...

Plus ... those services aren't nearly as convenient or easy to use as Napster was. I certainly think they are a threat but, due to all the bugs in them, I don't think they're as big of a threat ...
