Check out, Resident Evil 1 for the Gamecube. That game will have you under your covers in no time. The music in that one is amazing. But, so fucking creepy! I believe, you can get Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil: Zero for like 30 bucks now. Resident Evil 4 IS coming out on PS2 !!
It was originally planned for Gamecube only, but after putting so much work into it, they decided it would be crazy not to release it to a wider audience.

Metroid Prime Series and RE4 are worth buying the gamecube alone.
PS2 is inferior to GameCube as far as graphics and load times and I have not played a better game than MPrime.
I have Xbox and Gamecube and with that there is no need for PS.
