IBill or CCBill?

I am considering starting a paysite. I am debating between using IBill and CCBill. I would like to get some opinions of people who have had experience with these companies. I would like to know which is best if I would like to sell not only subscriptions on my site, but also a product or two (i.e. CDs).

CCBill is the bomb !!!
They know how to treat customers !!
When you hav CCBill ... you need no others !
(personally, I would be afraid to go with iBill after the troubles they have been having lately ... read the boards)

We went with CCBill - their setup was a cakewalk, they pay out webmasters weekly, their interface has lots of options which came in handy, and I never heard complaints about them being down...
IBill - has been giving problems in the past with the uptime, they pay out bi-weekly, and I heard their webgood/webbad pages are a nuisanse to sep up...

Well... as someone who has been with iBill over three years, I think that despite the fact they have had some issues as of late, the fact of the matter is iBill is the largest and most well established third party processor out there. When all the shit hit the fan with all the first generation third party processors, iBill stood strong. Many many LARGE sites use iBill. I have never had a single problem with payment and their customer support has been nothing but excellent.

Do not make the mistake of short selling iBill because of some newbie comments.

Lensman uses them and he is your God. Follow him.

What kind of crack are you on Labret???

What you really should be doing pornJester is this -- pick one for primary, be it us or IBill, that's up to you. Both pay on time and in full, so that's about the crux of that part. No one is perfect, we should all remember as well.

Then on your decline page -- offer your surfers three options.
1. Alternate cc processor. Of course if they are trying a bank declined card it doesn't matter how many times they go for it.

2. Check join. If someone's got a cc, they have to pay the bill sometime, they certainly do it with a check

3. Dialer option. You may want to route all foreign declined cc's here automatically, don't know quite what sort of scripting you would need to do it tho, and offer it as the option to your US surfers.

And last but not least for those guys that get declined and then try to back out of your secondary options page, well I would say a nice onExit window that offers them a 4free type membership, just in case they are real losers with nothing but that cc that had nothing on it to spend

Detroit kind. Lensman doesn't use iBill?

Anyhow I did not want any of what I said to be misunderstood as a dig against ccBill. They are my secondary. And have never done me any wrong.

And despite KK's rather abrasive personality on the message board, she actually is nice in person. I met her at an IA once.

... Ibill first, ccBill secondary is our setup. as far as I can tell the biggest difference in both companies is support, ibill will send you an email reply after 36h and the promblem still exists ... ccbill will make you ICQ flashing like a christmastree when asking them for support and stuff is fixed within no time ...

I use ccbill on all my paysites and I am very happy with the support and their payments. I have had no problems with them. I use IBILL web900 (telephone subscription service, CCBILL do not offer this ). I must admit that I have had a few problems with IBILL, but nothing major.

I think it's 6 and 2 three's to be honest. Incorporating both like what KK said is probably best. I would use CCBILL as primary processor and IBILL as backup but that's just because it has worked for me....

Hope that helps.

p.s Kimmy, how can I change my CCBILL decline page so that it uses a secondary processor?

I use ccbill. I like ccbill. They not only handle my processing, but Kim lets me sleep on her couch. Hows that for support.

Yes, he has an IBill acct -- it was the god statement that made me wonder what you were sniffing Labret! He also has CCBill accounts too --

Making my point for me almost -- don't put all your eggs in one basket -- no matter how good any processor is, there are still going to be declines and there will always be bumps in the road when dealing with technology. Get a backup, and some other options. I'm doing a workshop on MaxCashLive tonite, and this is what we are going to talk about.

I don't take what you say as a slam against us Labret-- you are loyal to IBill, they pay on time and in full, so you should be loyal to them, not one thing wrong with that.

Which IA did I meet you at?

oh, I forgot -- http://manual.ccbill.com should give you the directions for adding the decline page url.

If you are using the method I described above, you'll need to create the page with the links to the other pay options, load it onto your server and then direct the declines to that page --

We have nothing but compliments about CCbill, except they didn't throw me a party when we hit 1 million in sales.
