I hear ya, but my friend is going back to visit parents, and if I am ever going to see that side of the world, this would be my one and only chance. I don't see why I would ever go back there. Plus his best friend has one of the best clubs there so I"ll make the best out of it.
I call it a Vacation but it's just a getaway for a week or so. Plus his brother has an office there I can still get some work done.

Dave I lived in Capetown for almost a year in 2003. Its a great place. You would be better off to go during Winter time since it´s Summer over there. If you go in Summer you will run into a lot of rain.

If you wan´t to Party you have to check out a club called "Rhodes House" and "Chilli n' LIme" you will have fun there. A cool place for drinks and to hangout is "Caprice" and "Eclipse" both in Camps Bay.

The best Beach is Clifton 1st and 4th. Clifton 3rd is for the Gay crowd so keep out

For some culture you should visit "Stellenbosch" for wine tasting and a great lunch.

Capetown is a cool place with many people from around the world you'll love it!

Thats a nice offer from your side but I can´t. Just too busy getting all my papers done so that I can move to the US in April. It´s a big hassle in the Embassy here in Germany to get all the permits. But I hope to visit you in LA once I move to the US.

I went on a couple of safaris there a number of years back, Sabi Sabi and Kruger National park were the places we stayed after flying into Cape town and visiting Johannesburg as well. If you go I think you would be crazy not to do a safari after traveling all that distance. I would not pass on a chance to go there again.
