well I had this as one of my ideas and have yet to see it developed and I'm not even quite sure if it could be implented. Make a program for AIM for screen name to screen name (P2P) sharing through the direct connect function on aim...........

I don't remember exactly. I just remember using it before..It wasn't really big. This was when Napster first got popular.

It was called aimster. Look it up, they thought it would be big when napster fell but it never happened.

thats cause it was gay and u could only share to members on your contact list......fuck that start a whole search p2p through the aim network and let them direct connet to one server!

i'm not a network guru or anything of that sort but im pretty sure its possible if they run a single server one on network and allow all these people with aim to direct connect it to plug them into the server.. something like that lol

I found the new version of AIMster, it seems aol had them to take off the aim and they made it "madster"
