This happens at every show - some people impress you, other's don't.
I must admit I was looking forward to meeting both you Izzy there. I thought that the two of you were nothing more than two idiots from NYC with a chip on your shoulder and nothing more than a gimmack. However, I was surprised to find that both of you were didn't have any attitude at all, and were both down to earth.
One person that did impress me was Jim Holio. I've met him briefly a few times before, but listening to him at the XBiz Awards I discovered that he was both smart and funny.
Juicy, I'm sorry I hit my 16 and busted with a 10 which was the dealers bust card when you had "4 blacks in action".......hehehehe and caused the dealer to pull a 6 card 21 to beat everyone Betty told me to take a hit...
You go to the show and some people just impress the fuck out of you while others seem to miss the mark. In some cases they are people you have known for a long time.
I met several new people this year and I was pleased to see the industry is still attracting a bright brain trust of people.
Some old faces, some new faces, and an industry that is hitting adolesence. I see many new opportunities that can level the playing field. I also see that when the field is level the field will be smaller.
Interesting show this year....I see a ton of biz happening among the people I know and it also seems as though the winds of change have the doors of opportunity opening.
I am definitly bummed we didnt get to meet.. I owe ya a Jack and coke..maybe san diego
