i had my equipment stolen and i think it was a set up thru a manager who turned me on to one of the girls...i asking if anyone had been there so i might be able to establish some contacts to help me on my next trip....

OMG Ive been there !! I was staying in Alphaville for a while and would go to Cafe Foto and Bahamas once and a while... Never had any problems though

Regardless if a place allows you to shoot there or not, it's never a good idea to shoot inside a place where you are at THEIR mercy. They have you by the balls and can fuck you up with police or scams if they want. It's just not a good idea. You should always stay in control when shooting in a foreign country or shit like this will happen.
