The Party Is Over

Oprano repost. Better hope its not true.

________________

SilverCash, CE

The Party is over. I was talking to a friend a couple of days ago who works at a big bank. Visa has changed the rules on 3rd party processors. Starting Nov 1. They all have to be certified. What does this mean.

Posting the Credit Card is GONE, No MORE, Later. Like everything the CE's of the world abused in the worst way then Visa punishes everyone with new rules. Shame.

My Friend told me that Website billing is GONE. Think about it CE is one of their only customers and pulling this Shit Scam and they go over the CB area. SUPRISE.

Jettis batching. Nope they have also been Axed by Visa.

I imagine this week some of the big players will get the bad news that Posting to 3rd parties processors is gone.

Did you know that Visa Now also collects your CB percentage for every 3rd party processor. They now have the right to tell 3rd party procssors that TMF clients can not process with them also.

Serge here is my prediction. 6 months from now most of the major companies will have lost the ability to take Visa/MC on all their prize domains. Want to Bet

Like I said, its an Oprano repost. I didn't write it. Its pretty self-explanatory.

I tried to post a link to Oprano but it appears to be a banned word. Nice.

yes, posted on the oprano board.

"the bad news that Posting to 3rd parties processors is gone"

'posting' generally means sharing detailed ccard info with the paysite operators. wouldn't apply to my sites in that case. ibill (and i believe ccbill) do not allow anyone else to view detailed cc info if you are using their merchant account.

True, I dont know how many times I have heard this one in the last 4 years. But nevertheless, everytime I hear one it makes my flesh crawl because I know one day it will come. Maybe not as bad as some people think, but everyone I have ever talked to with connection to third party processing always say change is coming and its not going to be pretty.

A purge of this industry would do it some good. It has gone unchecked for too long.

This is a bullshit post from some anon in respect to direct posting, EVEN if it was true, it would have ZERO IMPACT on 99% of sites today. Yet, I beleive the post was 100% made up out of thin air and has no basis in fact.

Labret shouldn't post things out of context.

This type of hysteria has been going on for years, but it never follows through. Why? The adult business is wwaaaayy too profitable for the banks. They will NEVER shut it down. Maybe they will clean out cheaters here and there, but stay clean and you're fine.

Sounds like it's true, a post from the owner of CCBill:

What a Crazy Day.

One anon comes on a board and makes
my phone ring off the hook ))

Ok the truth is.

Yes Visa has new rules for 3rd party processors. Our Group is being moved to a new classification call PSP (Payment Service Providers). We are being treated more like banks. One of the most major changes is the protection of credit cards and who has access to this data. So yes it is true that Posting of data will now no longer be available. There are a few other things that we have to do, but it should be business as normal. Looks like all the 3rd party processors will all be on a Panel in a couple of weeks at adultdex to talk about this in more detail if people still have questions. (there you go faye shameless plug for Adultdex.com)

The bottom line in my opinion is that this will be a great thing for our industry. The more straight forward we are about charging customers the more creditability we will have as an industry.

KK I will let you answer any more questions from here.

GO DIAMONDBACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KK, Lensman, anyone else in the know...

What exactly is going to be the impact (if any) on small to medium sized pay sites that obviously require 3rd party processing?

Will it impact revsharing? Rebilling? How chargebacks are handled?

O impact, this is strictly about direct posting (paysites collecting credit card numbers), which apparently won't be allowed anymore.

Like I said, 99% of sites are unaffected.

Thats probably a good thing. There seems to be something wrong with sites automatically signing people up for other sites. Especially if i'm not getting a piece of the action.

Bingo Lens, you hit the nail on the head. We've only got 1 customer left on post and they are being switched over now. Most other processors have a few and they are switching them to as I understand it.

This doesn't affect rebills, doesn't affect processing, it's simply a matter of giving Visa the security they require from third party processors.

And yes, Labret, I am blonde. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be tho.

so, actually, nothing happened visa should have done that ages ago...

btw, i do have a Q... ya know what sexkey is doing? they give free access to their AVS and charge for one of their paysites from the same S-U form... do the new changes mean that this can't happen any more? i mean, if posting is denied, then that should be impossible from Nov 1, right?
