Why are Canadiens killing Bald Eagles?

Canada is investigating the deaths of 40 bald eagles found slaughtered near Vancouver in two separate incidents. The eagles' talons and primary flight feathers were cut off, indicating the birds were probably victims of poaching. Michele Norris talks with Colin Copland, a conservation officer with the Conservation Officers Service in British Columbia, Canada.

Teach the bastards a lesson, I say. A few weeks of flapjacks with no syrup and they'll be building bald eagle sanctuaries all over Canada.

We already chop them down for you and have a 'free trade' taxation of 30% that you all pay, which the World Court already said was illegal and money is owed back to Canadians.. Bush of course announce he was going to spread that 30% among the USA lumber industry... He's doing a great job at making and leading world peace..

Actually, I was having a had time coming up with something to symbolize Canada, hence the maple tree reference, so thanks for the help.

Personally, I couldn't kill the cute little rodents. Trees are much easier to sneak up on and chop down.

Maybe we could develop a secret program to train Canadian beavers to chop down all of the maple trees.

nice of you to assume it was canadians doing this - then again - I bet you didnt know that they are one of canada's birds - they breed up here and only visit the usa during the winter months... if it wasnt for canadians.. your "national" bird would be dead.

not true it breeds throughout the us however, normally a smaller breed

Other provinces and territories have fewer breeding Bald Eagles. In the United States, this white-headed bird of prey still nests in more than half of the states.

We almost had the Turkey instead of the Bald Eagle if Ben Franklin would have had his way.

Irregardless whomevers mascot the Bald Eagle is, killing a bird of prey for it's feathers and talons is a shitty thing to do.
