    Making money exploiting religious nuts

    I'm thinking about starting a fundamentalist christian anti-porn, anti-gay, anti-sex, anti-nudity, anti-abortion, anti-anythingbutjesus site.

    I've been surfing right wing and religious nut sites today and I have realized just how pitiably gullible and easily scared into donating money these poor people are.

    I bet I could rack up $100,000 in donations in less than 6 months if I really went at it. Tell the fuckers you need their money to stop 'the homosexual agenda in schools', 'fight pornography' or 'defend traditional marriage' .. all for the children of course (who jesus loves very much).. and it seems they won't think twice about digging into their wallets.

    I bet a christian pornography addiction counseling site would really get the money rolling in.

    Seems to me like all you need is a little charisma and a knack for catering to their apocalyptic, militant, 'us vs. them' seige mentality, and you're in the money!

              I was thinking about something similar to this months ago. Weird.

              I'm in. I'll "fight gay porn" and "crusade to defend traditional marriage". I'll fight tooth and nail as long as the donations come in and it doesn't take more than 5 mins of my day.

                  Along those lines I made a tidy sum selling "Amazing Y2K Dynamo Flashlights" a couple years ago. Same type of surfer probably and they were *excellent* buyers. The one quirk was that almost all of them paid by money order.

                                  Uhm, the Catholic church beat you to your idea by about 1200 years I think. They would be tough to compete against - they have by far the largest affiliate program in the world, paying out one complete redemption for every trial sign-up.

                                  That's the nice thing about the "piety niche" however, it always seems to be able to handle one more site and keep growing. So all the power to ya.
