interesting IP addy just visited my site

127.0.0.1 and it came from a search at search.msn.com

Uhmm... if you're going to hide your IP, wouldn't you spoof it to something a little more believable? Or am I to believe that the server that my site is on went to msn and searched for MILF Secretaries and then found a site on itself and started surfing?

If its not a server log but a third part - javascript style counter there solution is easy.

There's no counters on my site, and certainly a server log wouldn't go to msn and perform a search for MILF Secretaries and come back again to create a referrer.

No point really... just thought it was odd to see that IP, that's all. I know a lot of surfers like to be anonymous and I usually can spot that sorta thing but this is the first time I've ever seen someone surfing as 127.0.0.1

austinth, I wrote my own scripts to track this stuff. In particular, I caught this IP from my search engine tracking script. Let's me track the search engine, the query used and the page it was going to on my site... also the user's info, such as IP.
