Let me gloat in my knowledge a little more ... How many of you knew that "black" people were not indigenous to the carribean islands ???

Black people are no more indigenous to the Carribean, as Chinese people are to Markham.

BTW ... ****** was originally derived from the word negro, as any "high end" dictionary which covers word origins will tell you. Thus, I find it a very derogatory word. Only in recent times have people adopted the "stupid person" definition, as a means to smooth over the blatently bigotted definition.

Even the "new generation" definition of ****** does not offer much condolence to people who have carried the label for hundreds of years ...

As far as rap artists, or "bruthas from the hood" calling each other "niggaz" ... that is just plain FUCKED UP! ... just like you will find yourself, if you are a white guy walking through the projects, using this term to greet dark-skinned fellows ...

What I find really hipocritical of people, is that we are "driven" by pro sports (which are predominantly played by black men ...), yet the same armchair athlete sees a black man walking on the street, and he thinks to himself "ahh ... fucking ******!" Such a double standard is sickening !!!

It compares to the anti-fur people who on any given day you will find 80% of them wearing LEATHER Nike's, or Converse, or dress shoes!
Now did I miss something here ?!? Did they develop a way to get the cow's skin off of it, while leaving the fur intact ?!?

Our society is soooooo fucked up at times ...

MY 2 cents : I worked with a black man for a few years and he was old (80?) , he told me a few thing from his point of few, 1.****** came from the word no gooder!
back in the slave day the Boss would yell at them come on " no Gooders" get to work!
over time they got lazy ! and started to say that word n..... ,you get the point.
So yes the word is not cool and can hurt !!
There is N....... in every race , so how can you put the word on a black person only ?
I have lot of black friends the only different is our SSI number !!!!
