if you want the best, get a camcorder and video capture card.

a lot of people use webcams, using a camcorder and capture card is not something someone new to webcams thinks about. You do not find allot of stores that sell video capture cards, but they do sell webcams.

640x480 ccd the best you can get... oh and if you get a videocam, make sure you can overrule the auto shut off  otherwise you gotta either tape the whole chat or push on every damn 5 mins
