Need a Server Admin? Don't want a company? I'm your man.

Looking for a Server Admin to work on your server? don't want a large impersonal company to do your work? want someone that will work with your custom setup & deal with your customers how you want them too? I might be who you're looking for. I specialize in RHEL3/CentOS servers running cPanel/WHM but I am capable of working on just about any linux system out there.

I do Server Lockdowns (security), Restores after crash/compromise, transfers, custom setups, gameservers, upgrades, monitoring (24/7) and technical support. I charge per all jobs on a per-case basis because I believe that no two jobs are exactly the same, if you are not comfortable with contract rates, I also charge hourly at $25/h. My resume & references are available upon request, you can contact me at mwdees [at] houston.rr.com, on AIM & Yahoo at AnnihiLizard, ICQ at 62161622 and MSN at mwdees [at] houston.rr.com

I have a linux box running with cPanel/WHM, it needs an OS reload, and I also need to reinstall the latest version of Zend optimizer as well as the GD module and upgrade the redhat kernel (https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2003-417.html), I then need to have it locked down.

I would also need a few hours a month to check it for security breaches. What would be your rate?

Do you have serial console or KVMoIP access to the box? Otherwise I dont see how someone whos remote is going to do a reformat lol.. You can ask your datacenter to reformat it, and then have someone do the work. Its probably a good thing if you listed your contact info as well |

actually its pretty doable without console access and without dc intervention.

there are multiple ways of doing it, one of them is using the swap partition to create a new root (/), or you can always boot an image in memory which has ssh on, then login and format the disk. |
