Have her father hire a detective, and run any credit card she may have, an her social security number to see if anyone is using the info.

Naughty 01-02-2005 06:55 PM

Good luck, hoping for the best outcome.

What about Portland, or some other town in Oregon? Any chance she headed north? There are a lot of drifters in Eugene.

Thanks so much Willy....yes, with so much time going by, we are looking all over. I have called up a trucker friend of mine here in BC even.....

Which reminds me....if anyone knows a trucker it would be awesome if you could spread the word that route as well....truckers see alot of things and speak to each other alot. :)

Albion7 didn't say much about yuba county police....only that they refused to put out an amber alert. :(

I suppose.....however you'd think that the police would be able to get past 'looks' and attire for a missing girl....

Thanks for the help! :)

gigi 01-02-2005 07:35 PM

LOLOL.....it's unfortunate, but it only means we must take it into our own hands...and that's exactly what we are trying to do.

I'm still hopeful :)

Some news from Albion7:

Thanks for the link to 'missingkids' GiGi, they seem quite helpful.

No REAL news yet, but a few miniscule rays of hope:

- Courtney's page has received over 2,000 page views so far, and I know that number will soon grow exponentially, I thank you all for the help you've given me.

- One of my daughter's friends phoned just a few hours ago to ask if Courtney was here. She seemed guarded, perhaps 'testing the water' to see how much trouble my daughter might be in. I asked her to please call everyone she knew with the message to have Courtney call home so I would know she is all right.

- I've called all the kids and families I know in the area, and asked them to call everyone they know and get the word out. I wish I'd thought of doing that earlier, as I'd only called Courtney's 'hang-out' buddies before.

- Tomorrow I'll contact the high school, the winter break ends, and ask them to make an announcement to get the word out.

Not much to go on, but all hope is not yet lost. Thanks for your prayers, well-wishes, and all your help and encouragement.

Well, let's hope he's right and her friend called to 'test the waters'...cross your fingers folks!

Sorry to hear about this. I grew up in CA and the first and last time I rebelled against my parents, they reported me missing. I had a high gpa and wore the same type of cloths and had a good relationship with my parents. I was scare to call them since I felt like I felt like a looser, a policeman spotted me and gave me pure hell for putting my parents through my disappearing act and told me I was damn lucky not to be dead.

Wishing the best:) If you need any help on the east coast, let me know

TheLegacy 01-02-2005 08:19 PM

and no one is contacting the local news stations?? that a kid goes missing and the police dont care? fuck, up here in canada this would be plastered all over the news and it would be broadcast - police dont want a dead teen body on their hands and the press finding out they didnt give a shit in the first place when they could have done something... good luck and I hope things turn out well

Odin88 01-02-2005 08:20 PM

Hope this turns out well.

Good story...I sincerely hope the outcome here is the same. Even the 'good kids' can get the urge to 'go wild' and break out of their 'humdrum' life. I put my parents through hell as a teenager as well....but, I wasn't exactly a 3.5 GPA student...lol....3 maybe. ;)

This was mentioned on another board and I believe there are folks working on it.

Thanks for the well wishes. :)

Yes, we know a trucker and also we live very near a place where truckers park their rigs and sleep at night. We'll get the page printed and into as many hands as possible.

naughty_weena 01-03-2005 01:51 AM

that's so sad to hear. here's a bump for you, gigi.

I posted the link on a local message board I own as well. Chico is only an hour away from Marysville.

wdsguy 01-03-2005 10:51 AM

You guys should get all the information to the local news stations, that would give this alot more attention fast.

AWESOME NEWS!!! Just got this from Albion7:

NEWS!

My daughter is alive! She HAS run away!

Her boyfriend called me just minutes ago, and apparently they had a falling out. Courtney told him that if he did not love her she was going to run away.

I can't post this information on the board, but her boyfriend has caller ID, and Courtney contacted him from Hubbard, Oregon, just hours ago. He was not home at the time, so the message went on his answering machine.

I have called my lawyer with the information, (I did a reverse phone lookup and I have an exact street address), and he's ON IT!

My daughter is alive!

I can't see to type anymore, I'll post with an update as soon as I can.

Thank you! ALL of you!

I can only imagine how RELIEVED he is!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who offered help and support!! What a rollercoaster ride!!

sean416 01-03-2005 11:17 PM

Yuba county is pretty fucked up.. It's the norm in Northern California.. I am about 35 minutes away and in another sucky county

wdsguy 01-04-2005 12:57 AM

I'm in yolo county, it isn't any better

wdsguy 01-04-2005 12:59 AM

Thats awesome news to hear, keep us updated!

DarkJedi 01-04-2005 01:12 AM

Woo hoo !!

Great news :banana

n0de 01-04-2005 03:24 AM

After reading the good news, a tear dropped from each eye...I bet the parents had alot more comming from their eyes.

You would think the girl would care more about what shes putting her parents through instead of thinkning completely about her boyfriend.

Young age is a crazy thing.
