Does anyone keep getting this error.

This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. It this problem continues please contact technical support.

I get this error about 5-10 times an hour while surfing and it closes out all my browser windows I have open. It has just started doing this, this week. Ran Norton Anti-Virus and no viruses were found can anyone help me with this problem. Thanks

My IE 5.5 shuts down on specific pages of sites. PayPal's shopping cart page is a real bitch about doing this. I have installed every update and patch known to mankind. I hesitate going to IE 6.o because it is so new.

i havcer run into this on my own computer and several of my clients i have come to two conclusions.. one it has alot to do with activex if you have it disabled like i do it will try to force itself on you causing an error.. also it is still part of microsofts plan to get you to upgrade to 6.. doing so allows them to put more spyware on your computer.. it is the truth.. i have 15-20 pcs coming in the door lately with 5/5.5 problems steming up in the ast 3 weeks.. life goes on and that is the price we pay for running microsoft.. my advice either pick the lessor of two evils upgrade or live with it.. or you can alway g get a copy of RedHat and say good by to the probs..
hope that helps

"...get a copy of RedHat and say good by to the probs..."

... I think you overestimated the potential of 99.9% of all gfy readers&lurkers a little bit (including myself). get them to intall that stuff and this board will die in seconds ...

SE, I kept getting the same error, and after removing google´s toolbar it was gone ... maybe this will help you ??
