MAXCASH IS SHAVING ! AND THEY PROVED IT
Anybody noticed that MC was shaving sign ups in this month's beginning ? I had a ratio of 1:150 in previous month - 11 sign ups under that ratio ..
And after they (Maxcash) were penaltied by law court for 250 000 $ for charging surfer's credit cards - the damn ratio collapsed into zero's .. In first 11 days of october I had 1:2000 ... But the sources of traffic were the damn same.. Now the ratio goes back, but anyway - maybe I am mistaken, but this can not be only accidently.. Today's morning I have posted a message with this question on MaxCash's webmaster's board - and you know what ? They just DELETED IT QUICKLY.. I'd appreciate any their answer - but not like this .. As much as I did not claim there that they were shaving .. Heh .. Nice .. Now they proved they did .. |

Timetieth, what do you think - 11 sign ups in 1562 clicks is an accident ? and ZERO for several thousands is a "shit happens" ?
I can send you screen shots .. Now the ratio is back, and it proved that the sign ups were shaven.. And I gave the probable reason of shaving - they needed to compensate the penalty they had from court. By the way - I did not say I am totally certain in it - but explain, why do they delete the question like this from they board, so most of MC webmasters cannot see it and to compare with their own stats ??

Conversion ratios change with the ebb and flow of the universe. If anyone can explain this to me I'm all ears. Been in this biz 5 years now and there's no such thing as expected conversion ratios. It's ALL stats and the random dist. of clicks, surfers, and buyers. The more you send the less random the distro becomes.

I dont think MaxCash shaves at all..they are currently the only sponsor that makes me any real money. They run a great program and if you can't sell their sites (they simply sell themselves) you're obviously in the wrong biz. Here's mine for the month so far:

Blu - If I send 100 hits and get a signup does that mean that my signups ratio is always going to be 1:100? If I send 100 hits and get a signup then send 1,900 more hits does that mean that I was shaved 19 signups on that last group of 1,900 hits or does it mean that I really have 1:2000 traffic and just happened to get my 1 signup in the first 100 hits? Judging by your ratio and the amount of hits you said you are sending you have very small traffic. With very small traffic you can get very wild numbers and come up with some very innacurate conclusions.
Maybe they just deleted your posts because they thought you were a rabid wanker who was only there to cause problems by posting wild accusations based on his limited knowledge? Or maybe they just have it in for you.. It's a conspiracy!! Solyent Green is people!! |

I swear all of these shaving threads are like a broken damn record. I see them on every sponsors message board I've ever been to.
Hell I even saw someone on the PMB board accusing Jim of shaving! Shaving on a 60/40 program....that's friggin ridiculous. Why you would bother continuing to send traffic to someone you think is dishonest is beyond me. There are more sponsors out there than you'll ever be able to use. Send your traffic somewhere else if you're not happy with their results. You need to send a MINIMUM of 10,000 clicks to a sponsor to determine what kind of ratio you'll have with their site. This 0:2000 whining bullshit is ridiculous. I've gone 0:10,000 and then 7:500 with the same sponsor in back to back weeks. When its all said and done, over time ratios tend to even out. Now that I'm done ranting I have a ? for you folks that run partnership proggies. How many members do you need to send to a program before you'll have an accurate idea of what kind of rebill ratio to expect? |

First off, the FTC is not a court of law. Second off, Maxcash was not 'penaltied' any money in this imaginary court you have in your mind. Escrow and fine are totally different words, you can see this at http://dictionary.com if need be. Hey Lenny....just like conversion ratios, rebilling percentage takes a decent amount of signups to get an accurate feel. The reason is, there are even more variables in rebilling percentages than there are initial signup ratios...
 The first and foremost indicator (besides the sponsor having a shit site) will always be your traffic source. TGPer's will never rebill as high as search engine traffic gurus, and even search engine gurus tend to rebill less than people with good opt-in email lists. Other considerations are what processor is being used, does the guy have enough on his card to allow billing in the first place, etc.. I would hazard a guess that it takes at least 50 sales to get a valid idea of what your retention is going to be like, as long as you're in reasonable norms to begin with. If you go 1:10, then 2:20, etc...I'd say you're getting your answer pretty quick. ------------------ The Largest Recurring Sponsor On The Net |

Surely, I am not a big player, but I have 1:770 with MaximumCash from poor TGP traffic now. I had a period in summer with my record like 0:4500 on Kara. But after I've changed my galleries layouts all is OK to me.
