I think my body is immune to any meds now.

I have Anxiety/Panic attacks. Under medical supervision and stuff with the meds. On Paxil n Xanax and such. All legit scripts and stuff. It has helped me tremendously to deal with the anxiety and such , but I have to learn to deal with it without meds as they are only a temp band aid for it.

You should really talk to your doc about klonopin. It is a hell of a lot better then xanax. It doesnt peak and trough like a roller coaster. A low dose works great and its all you should need.

I have a good friend who suffers from panic attacks and used to take xanax but switched to klonopin because he more or less became immune to the xanax. It seems to be working wonders for him. Me, im just a pot smoking hooligan

I have panic attacks about once a month but my biggest problem is social anxiety. I'm not taking any meds for it. I tried Xanax but it killed my creativity and motivation. I tried Vicodin and when mixed with alcohol can work wonders but it's not too healthy for you.

Right now I use alcohol to help but the long term affects are frightening.

Yes it works for me and I am on a SUPER low dose. It seems to be enough to keep my body chemistry in check. Anyone suffering from Panic Disorder and taking shit loads of other drugs should ask the doc about Klonopin. The shit changed my life.

I didnt even know what was going on at first.
I went to the hospital ER 3 times, thinking i was having a heart attack.

After several doctors visits, blood tests, etc... they said, there was nothing wrong with me and sent me home with a bag full of paxil and script for xanax.

Just knowing that when i start freaking out, that Im not having a heart attack, is a relief of course, but it hasnt stopped the panic attacks.

I think the last 7 years of smoking weed from sun till sun down has cuaght up to me.... so had to quit that a month ago......I was getting panic attacks everytime I smoked.

I also tried X once, and totally freakkked out....I really thought i was going to die, started sweating profusely, and then i was fine...but still had the anxiety for the rest of the roll.

Cant fucking drink.....I havent had a drink since i started taking the meds.

What happens when you drink on paxil???

Also, I found that when i started taking the paxil.......have a hard time keeping an erection...LOL....(no LOL from my wife though)

Right there with ya. Been going through Panic/Anxiety attacks for 1 1/2 years. Was on Paxil and it fucked me up, made me a zombie, so I switched to Zoloft 100mg. Been just about panic free for year. I got a perscription to Klonopin(sp) and ativan, good stuff!

Shit sucks though doesn't it. I was on meds and they weren't helping till I went and saw a shrink, ya ya I know. But this dude got me straight and taught me how to deal with the panic attacks. After about 3 months with him I never had a full blown panic attack. I am getting ready to go off the meds soon.

I think you should slowly stop taking meds as its only a temporary solution.
Just try and see a psychologist and see what he says and maybe you can treat it altogether and be done with it!!!

Been there done that. It'll get better but you need to get to the root of the problem and meds wont solve panic attacks just make them less severe. Go see a good shrink that specializes in Panic attacks. It will make the biggest difference after a few sessions.

My shrink almost had to smack me in the face physically and tell me there was nothing to be scared of, you know what, hearing it from a stranger/professional made a difference, plus the other things he did helped as well too.

By the way I freaked out when I couldn't get it up on Paxil CR. Those side effects wore off about 3 months later. I never had that problem on Zoloft.

Try hypnosis and meditation. You never know what the FDA will uncover about anxiety pills in a few years, and by then it will be too late, your body will be totally contaminated.
After all, anxiety is all in the mind of the beholder, so you can control it without meds.
