How do you dress and do you think it represents your lifestyle?

I wear jeans, t-shirt, and a ball cap on backwards about 95% of the time. I get comments all the time about it because of my position. I own a company that employs 35 people and made a lot of money last year but I don't dress the part. I love the look on people's faces when they see me get out of my BMW or H2...it's classic. Most people think I'm a drug dealer!

My girlfriend suggested that I joined eMerge and start dressing in slacks and button down shirt. She even commented on a tie. She's an accountant so she's used to seeing people in monkey suits.

Starting this new year I think I'm going to ditch the ball cap and jeans and start dressing up. My employees respect me because I have a layed back personality but I honestly think it affects my professional relationships outside of my work.

How do you dress and does it represent you well?

I dress depending on where I'm going and with who....

For work, I'm normally just in shorts/jeans and a tshirt...

I dress dress code the clubs that require it, dress more punk if I'm going to a mosh pit show, dress nice fi I'm going out to a nice restaurant.....etc

I get a lot of stares when I play in a public dungeon. I'm a Domina whose usual play attire consists of jeans, (if I'm doing knife-play, I'll wear my torn jeans. The tears aren't rips. They're demonstrations of how sharp the blade is), Docs, and a comfy t-shirt. It's just a great deal more comfortable for me to play in something that I don't have to be "dressed up" in. If I'm doing humiliation play, I'll MAYBE wear a more fetish-type outfit, (read: all black), but it will still be very comfy for me.

Otherwise, I'm a "whatever's clean and comfy" type.

Jeans and t shirts for everyday things. If I go out jeans and a nice trendy shirt with my shoes. If I go to a wedding, either my suit or trousers and a nice shirt.

I dress nice, I spend a lot on clothes, but I work from home so I have no one to impress.

When Bill Gates started dressing up, more people took him serious. Whatever that means.

i dress the very best i can 99% of the time and drive nice cars. . . it's a matter of being treated better. sure you can run around like some gangbanger reject if ya want to however I prefer to be called 'sir' and treated accordingly, and dressing in slacks, nice button down shirts provides a measure of anoyaminty which i really enjoy. that and treating everybody with polite curtesy goes along way towards stopping the crap coming my direction in public.

next time yer in stabucks dressed very conservativly inallen edmonds wingtips, slacks and a nice pressed, lightly starched freshly pressed long sleeve button down shirt, say how are you today, to the counter jock and see the reaction you get. then listed to the reply. you'll find the service goes way up

I dress how I'm comfortable:

Jeans and a t-shirt. If it's cold I add a flannel over it. That is my uniform.

There was about a 1 year period where I tried dressing the part, armani suits, rolex, ferragamo shoes, etc.. Felt REALLY uncomfortable and like I was trying to be something I'm not. I'm a simple person with simple tastes.

man you obviously match your nickname then?
only kidding!

I normally wear jeans but when i go to work i dress up a bit as you know how these things are.. Also when i go out at night i dress a bit less casual, helps you getting into places where you couldn't otherwise, i.e. the best clubs and stuff...

I dress to be comfortable. Usually that means I'm in jeans. I've been told I don't look or act like I live the lifestyle that I do.

Just yesterday...went to a car dealer to buy my son's fiance a decent slightly used car. I was paying by check (they don't want credit cards for more than a $5K purchase), so the guy asked me to fill out a small section of a credit app (name, soc, nearest relative, current employer, monthly income) just in case something was up with my check. Well, he comes back in after taking it to the paperworking guy and with a polite smile says "you must have put in annual income where it asked for monthly". I told him "no... that's monthly." You could just see the lightbulb go on. He looked at me and said "geee.. goes to show you can never tell."

I wear blue jeans and a t-shirt most of the time. I hate dressing up. My parents used to make me dress up for church every Sunday...bad memories.
