I am DumbShit!!
I am a retard.. I got a HD from a friend and I went to put it in and it had windows 95 on it. So when my computer went to boot up it went to the new HD and win95. I tried to get it to work without looking up how to like I should have.. I hella messed up and I had to reformat my orignal HD..
I lost everything.. I am going through shock.. At the same time Im pissed.. and Im even fighting off tears.. But there might be hope for me.. At http://mcafee.com/ I remembered they had a program that you can recover files even if you had reformated.. It is D/ling now and I hope to God that I can get back at least some of my stuff.. Has anyone used somthing like this.. the Recover from reformat programs?? If so does it work?? ..anyways.. I am fricken .. fricken.. I cant put it into words.. ahhhhh... |

... mindwaste, been there done that ... I know how exactly what you are goinf through right now. take it as a lesson, and next time youŽll be using norton ghost to do backups ... funny thing is, as soon as you have everything on backup, things never fuck up again ... as of recovering a farmated disk, I have no idea, but there are companies specialised on that ...

Yes, definately use this as a lesson. You're using your computer to make a living, then you've got everything riding in that little box full of chips. You need to definately make scheduled backups in case shit happens. I can only imagine all the templates, content and other "biz" pertinent info I'd lose if my HD went down. Ack!

actually if you have more then one computer and they are networked I would use nortons ghost and save the image on the other computer via the network er. go. computer 1 image saved on computer 2 and computer 2 saved on computer 1 nortons ghost make a compressed copy of the hard drive takes about 15 minutes to restore a hd with 2 gig of data
