Yeah... they are starting to throw around 150k to 200k after this is all over. The measels have already broke out in a few of the hardest hit areas. This is FAR from over.

Seeing the young kids left without anyone is really difficult to watch. If people are looking for children that need a loving family... there will be no shortage of children needing a home.

Im a qualified nurse and would get out there as soon as I could... but my registration ran out a few months ago and they wont let me go

This prob the biggest disaster in my life time (Natural). Its so scary... one minute you are there.... a split second and your gone

Anything like this can happen in any part of the world at any time..... I hate it

Lets just hope that this has a silver lining and it mends a few polical rifts.

nature is a powerfull life giving force, as well as a sometimes devastating force.. it is hard to imagine the pain and despair local people in those regions experience these days, when you come from an extremely safe area of the world..

I have visited basically all those areas though, and my depest thoughts and compassion for those allready poor and hard testet peolpe there..

RIP to those poor souls who experienced nature at its worst.

Well statistically speaking its not very many. 100,000 dead would only be 1/65,000th of the population. On average 150,000 people die in the world every fucking day. Around 11,000 die every day from starvation. So as far as this being a crisis of death its not really even significant. Tidal waves make good TV though.

You are right mate.. and thanks for putting those sad statistics in our consiouness..

The 11,000 from starvation hurts me alot.. how can that be possible when some in here makes money to feed a hole family for generations? This should be our concern every fucking day, but people isn't like that unfortunately..

so lets us at least show our compassion towards those involved in this natural (but somehow non-natural death for the kids) dissaster..
