There is a comic book mini-series out called Thundercats: The Return which is five years in the future from when Thundercats ended...most of the 'Cats are slaves to the mutants and Lion-O isn't a very happy camper (and is sadistically violent). From Germany? That's not a german name. Maybe he or his family moved to Germany. That name looks more Finnish, possibly Norweigan, but more likely Finnish or perhaps even icelandic. In any event, it is definitely NOT of German origin.
