Anybody get Tivo for Christmas or getting Tivo ??

Did anyone just get a Tivo for Christmas or if you are planning on buying a Tivo soon, I have an offer for you.

If you put me down as your refferal for your tivo when you signup for the service or if you haven't filled out a refferal you can do it if you activated in the last 60 days, I'll pay you $15 via paypal for each refferal

Just email me at [email protected] for instructions or questions.

Happy Holidays

Go into the Tivo Setup and in there there is an option to turn it off.

Here are instructions.

I got a Tivo for Christmas...... The problem is I don't have a home telephone and I'm not about to connect TIVO to my home network. Do I have to use this service?

U need a home phone to make the 1st connection to sign up. After that you would have to have it in a phone line or hooked up to the home network to get the guide downloads.

You've got to be shitting me?

Mainstream finally figured out how to make money - recurring billing. Funny, it doesn't fucking say anything about this on the box.

I don't have a home phone - I use cell phones. I don't have a wireless connection; I have to full sized computers hard wired in my home office and no need for a wireless connection. So I'm screwed. I'm either gonna have to turn on my home phone that I don't need (and pay $30 a month for that too!) or buy the equipment for a wireless connection.

And their montly fee. Isn't that misleading?

You can hook it up to a hardwired network. You have to buy a seperate adapter if u want to do wireless.
