Let me break it down for you one more time. I've done it before, but for some reason your memory fails you again.

I am Canadian. I have no American flag on my car. I've traveled all over the world and lived in Costa Rica for more than a year. I am quite certain the rest of the world does not live in caves. I'm baffled as to how I'm bringing down a greaty country.

All I did was point out that there's no way Holland has the World's largest economy. The United States still does. I didn't attack Holland at all. I have many Dutch friends and plan to spend time in Holland soon. All I wanted to know is what makes Holland's economy "better" in your mind. If don't have anything to defend your position, perhaps "I'm just speaking trash" would have been a better response?

Well there's no doubt that the US has lost the lead in currency. The European Union does in fact have a higher GDP than the United States. Some might complain that it's not a fair comparison because the EU is a combination of 25 Nations. The combined land mass is I think only about half the size of the United States and the combined population is around 455 million. I think it's an excellent comparative example. It's like "The United States of Europe".

Since you're an economist you must understand the idea behind keeping a currency artificially weak or strong. The U.S. could raise the value of the dollar in a couple days if desired.
