Before I give my advice - I did read the thread, and understand the point of it is the diaper. I don't really have a comment about a shitty diaper though, so I will give my input on the fever.

When my kids run a low fever, Tylenol works best. When it is really high, liquid ibuprofen (Advil or Motrin) brings it down REALLY quickly.

Glad she purged her demons. ;)

Wolfy,

Was affraid to go back in the thread. Thought for sure there would be pics of a shit margin to margin - LOL.

Going on 50 medical advisers here. Nothing like posting about family to bring everyone into a thread. Guilty too as mentioned above. At least now I know all the ins and outs of babies and a fever - LOL. Now we can laugh about it as all is well. Of course you're the one that has to clean up the mess.

Enjoy!

Ya know, GFY should have a doctor and a laywer online at all times. Let's throw in a member of congress and a rep from every sponsor.

Baddog, your first memory as a child is being dunked in an icebath? That's kind of fucked up - mine is of a slide! I'll take mine any day :D

Appreciate the comment. I do screw up now and then.

Actually my son is 13 and he hasn't had baby aspirin since he was about a year old, his pediatrician didn't like it due to the chance of Reyes. Alternating the Tylenol and Advil is the advice I got then and it does work well.

NEVER give a little kid Acetaminophen. It's too easy to overdose them and you can destroy their liver. NEVER give a kid an adults version of Tylenol. I'd take your kid to the ER.

Well of course you don't give a child adult strength Tylenol.

So I flopped her down and changed her diaper, by far the nastiest thing I have ever seen in my life. If anything ever came out of a kids ass and then sprung to life, this would have been it!

Anyway, I've been wiping her head witha cool rag and worrying myself sick for the last 24-28 hours or so, and I think she may have just purged the demons - I'm happy :D

Damn, hope she gets well soon. Happy new year!

You woud be surprised how stupid some parents are. Anyways here's a guidline. And I rather offend someone and maybe save a kid than to say nothing and maybe something bad happens.

Acetaminophen can cause liver damage is large doses or when taken with alcohol. That's why you don't take it if you have a hang over. A lot of people who drink and get liver disease in many cases it wasnt caused by the booze but by the acetaminophen.
