50 mad postal workers

this is one of those offline vegas conversations. i have had this discussion with more people than god knows.

been down this road with the channels that be. nothing will stop usps from doing it. i basically chop it up as technology to market

usps = since before we had cars.
internet = since we had michael jackson. LMAO.

in 20 years spam will be looked at like junkmail because they will finally realize that they can't regulate it.

matter of time.

K now lets bring this scenario to the internet. Your emailbox. You get crap day in day out , now people are getting sued arrested and the works...

Now snail mail spam has been going on for ages.

Email spam for a few years.

Do I enjoyed getting 50 emails telling me I cant get hard? Nah not really but what can you do...

So lets discuss the dfference between email and regular direct snail mail marketing they call it... is there one?

Sometimes you blast me away with your simplicity. Please tell me this is not a serious question.

i don't think that was the point he was getting at, spam emails without removes and ones who spam the same addresses over and over without honoring removes are more likely to have their landing pages DDOS'ed. the more complaints a sponsor gets, the more likely you are to be termed. most sponsors demand that you download their remove list and clean your lists against it before you send.

in todays modern world, it doesn't really cost the end user anything. sure there are some countries in eastern europe that still pay by the meg or minute or whatever but who would mail them anyhow? they are poor.

do you have any idea how much money spam assassin guys have made off spam? not to mention all the other kinds of filters and shit to block spam, its a million dollar industry in itself.

im not really trying to defend spam but so many are so misinformed.

oh yeah and if you're gonna opt-out, don't expect it to be instantaneous, give it a week or 2 and i bet you will see some of the same emails gone.

and btw, 1 minute edit limit sucks balls.

Sounds like someone has done some mailing before....

From a business point of view, the big difference is dirrect mail is good for the goverment, ie the post office benifits from stamps. Spam is only good for the spammers, and hurts the other businesses, ie the ISP's and it's customers
