Were you ever denied by Yahoo??

I just paid $600 to get listed in yahoo directories. But I don't know if yahoo's going to deny my site, because in the term said that $600 for a guarantee 7 days respond, it does not guarantee that you'll get list. I'm worrying now.

Yahoo can, and often does, deny sites submitted via Business Express. I had 2 sites declined (got vague auto-response bot e-mail, never got a hold of a real yahooligan), and on top of that, I had a teen listing pulled from their directory (one I used business express to submit). Oh, and when I checked the teen listing to see if my site was singled out, or if Yahoo was actually policing links, I hit two, yes TWO, fucking banner codes. Not re-directs to sponsors, I'm talking fucking sponsor links right in their teen listing.

Yahoo is as crooked as DMOZ. Good traffic, but it can be frustrating to deal with them.

that $$ is real risky.
Unless you are a paysite craving some traffic it would be best to just aviod it.

I was declined for a bus express submit this summer. "Not enough substantially unique content" I replied quickly to the declined letter with a letter stating my case in a 1. reason 2.reason 3.reason format, politely but firmly. (Reasons like 'brand new releases of content not yet available in the category', 'samples of content from 4 different CD collections', 'original graphics and text', etc.) A couple of days later got letter saying they reviewed my case and accepted the site.

Some categories have webmaster-friendly editors, some categories have what seem to be jerks.
