Got a biz partner that co-owns one of the big clubs down here in Florida.

I'm planning on buying a club when and if I ever retire.

Hope you have the friends you need that will be, and bring more clientele.

It's much easier to open a dance bar for college sluts, or a strip bar in the slums and make money....you can get some issues, but ruling with an iron fist will prevail

Not corp events, regular parties for the public. Rent out a club, brought our own dj, and promoted that party ourself... Some clubs give you the place for free and are satisfied with the bar revenue.

A family friend bought a nice big club here recently, the club is usually dead but they are banking on company parties and weddings.

Oh - nice. That's sorta how I started a 5 years ago in the club business...but i didn't rent out the club, I'd promote an evening for them and take X% of cover charges - the bigger the audience, the bigger the %.
