Not to get involved here but I have to on this one. Marty is a good friend and I have known him and his family for over 20 years. You have the balls to talk shit to him, then do it to him. But getting the family, and his wife involved in stupid remarks. I can see why he is mad. Your best bet right now to him is a public apology and mean it. There are some things some people don't take as jokes and the way you are putting it here. It doesn't even sounds like a joke.

Public apology and hope he accepts it. This is is not going in the right direction. Best of luck to you. Hope you think hard on this decision.
